Dr. Mark Mahowald was a Professor of Neurology at the University of Minnesota Medical School and a visiting Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. He is the former Director of the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center, at Hennepin County Medical Center, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He currently practices at Stanford University School of Medicine.
His primary interest is promoting the multidisciplinary approach to the field of Sleep Disorders Medicine. Areas of clinical research include sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, and parasomnias.
